1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, accessing or using Blur Video (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. What Blur Video does

The App lets you blur, pixelate, mosaic, cover and censor faces, number plates, text, backgrounds and any other region of your own videos, track moving subjects, make basic edits, and export the result. All processing happens on your device. Features, effects and pricing may change at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you may only use it with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, including for any purchases.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the videos, photos and audio you edit with the App and to the results you export. Because processing is local, we do not receive, store or claim any licence over your content.

5. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you edit and for how you use the results. You agree that you will not use the App to:

Edit or distribute footage you do not have the right to use
Harass, defame, impersonate, or violate the privacy or publicity rights of any person
Conceal evidence, obstruct a legal process, or otherwise break the law
Produce or distribute content that is illegal, hateful, violent, or sexually exploitative, including any content involving minors
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or models used by the App, except where the law expressly permits

Blurring a face, plate or document in a video does not by itself make the recording or its distribution lawful. Check the laws that apply to you before filming or publishing other people.

6. Automatic detection is best-effort

Face, plate and text detection and subject tracking are automated and may miss, misidentify, or lose track of items, particularly with motion, low light, small or partially hidden subjects. Always review every frame before you share a video that must keep someone anonymous. The App is not a substitute for professional redaction where legal or safety consequences depend on it.

7. Purchases, subscriptions and refunds

Pro features are sold through Apple's in-app purchase system and are governed by Apple's terms in addition to these Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your device's App Store settings. Prices may vary by region and may change for future periods with notice. Refunds are handled by Apple under its refund policy; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

8. Intellectual property

The App, its branding, design, software and the effects it ships with are owned by Vidjar and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. They do not grant you any rights to our trademarks.

9. Third-party software

The App includes open-source and third-party components licensed under their own terms, which are listed inside the App where required.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to paid features if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it; this does not entitle you to a refund of any unused subscription period, except as required by law or Apple's policy.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and the completeness or accuracy of any automatic detection. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vidjar is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of data or any harm resulting from content that was not fully obscured, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Vidjar harmless from any claim arising from your content, your use of the App, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION — e.g. the State of Delaware, USA], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
